Gas spring for a bi-fold flap
A bi-fold front folds up in two panels and needs little room above and in front of the cabinet: ideal for tall wall cabinets under a ceiling.
The upper panel hinges at the top, the lower one folds against it while its bottom edge runs up a guide. The calculator works out the gas springs on the upper panel that carry both panels, and shows the fold step by step.
Tips
- Both panels count: the weight of the lower panel acts through the middle hinge.
- Choose "Stay where I leave it" so the front stops at any height.
- Look at the 3D view to check the folded front clears the ceiling.
