Gas spring for a lift-up fitting (vertical lift)
With a lift-up fitting (vertical lift) the front stays vertical and rises straight up until it is above the cabinet. It is carried by two parallel arms; the spring acts on the upper arm.
The calculator offers a gas spring or a mechanical tension spring. A tension spring on the right crank can balance the front at every height, so it stays exactly where you leave it.
Tips
- Enter your own arm dimensions if you know your fitting; the front rises twice the arm length.
- A balanced tension spring is precise: mount it accurately or give it an adjustable preload.
- The lift height in millimetres is shown next to the arm angle.
